Watercolor workshop

Take the chance to participate in a watercolor workshop with the worldwide famous artist Nicolas Lopez!

Have you ever given a thought about the meaning of water in your watercolor painting? What role does water play during your painting process?

Nicolas will allow the water to simplify the elements in his compositions and to paint together with him in a creative and respectful dialogue.

The day starts with theory and demonstration and follows with guided practice. I the end of the day there will be a final feedback.

Day 1. Synthesis in drawing and watercolor (transparency, dark/light). Elements for the composition and interpretation of the texture.

Day 2. Addressing the architectural landscape and its components: composition, perspective and distribution. During guided practice we explore atmospheric perspective, plans, synthesis etc. to develop a final project – a painting on what we have studied. 

Day 3. Plan air sketches and painting – exercises in small formats. During guided practice we will develop a painting on what we have studied.

Prior skills: from the basic to advanced level.

Date: 5, 6 and 7 December 2025.

Time: 10 am -4 pm with lunch break from 1 to 2 pm.

Language: The course is given in English

Place: Tyresö, Stockholm.

Price for 3 days: 6 000 SEK and for 2 days 4 600 SEK

Payment: The registration fee is 2 500 SEK which we will refund in case the course will be cancelled by the organizers.

The course will have a limited number of students.

Workshop rules for payment of course fees

The registration fee is 2,500 SEK which will be refunded in case the course will be cancelled by the organizers.

 

Taking in to consideration administrative expenses for the course organizers, costs for the artist’s travelling, etc. participants that have paid course fees, but cancel their participation in the course will be reimbursed as follows:

​

  • A participant who cancels the course up to two months before the course start will be reimbursed with 80 % of the paid fee,

  • A participant who cancels the course between two months and one month before the course start will be reimbursed with 30 % of the paid fee,

  • A participant who cancels the course between one month and one week before the course start will be reimbursed with 10 % of the paid fee,

  • A participant who cancels the course one week before the course start will not be reimbursed.

  • A participant who cancels the course for various reasons may get a discount for the next course organized by Art Manu Watercolors.
